Today's LinkedIn poetry is dedicated to Email marketing lesson from PayPal 🚨 In the span of a week, I received two emails from PayPal where things went wrong: 1️⃣ One email was a template test with nothing but font sizes and placeholder text. 2️⃣ Another email had the segment name showing up in the subject line (ex: 526063_EM1_Challenger_en_CA - Discover the easy way to get paid). And here’s the truth: once an email is sent, it can’t be taken back. That’s why when managing an email channel, I always recommend implementing a peer-to-peer review process before hitting “Send.” Have someone outside of the email execution team review: ✅ Subject lines ✅ CTAs ✅ Links ✅ Rendering across devices ✅ Spelling & segmentation This extra layer of review helps catch errors before they go out to thousands (or millions) of inboxes.
