Yesterday I launched a new podcast about parking... just kidding! A mysterious glitch replaced my awesome new episode with Brent Adamson with a podcast about....parking? It's fixed now and let me tell you - you will want to listen because this one is a banger! I've been dying to get Brent on the podcast since forever. His work has had a big impact on me, and it was an absolute treat to go deep with him on a bunch of stuff, including: * The original Challenger Sale research and how they worked through the original positioning of the book to make sure there was a clear contrast between Challenger and traditional relationship selling (for better and worse). *How the customer's context has changed in the past ten years - particularly for larger deals. *Why it is so hard to get an enterprise deal done. As Brett says, "How the Bleep does commerce even happen?" and then, importantly, "How much more commerce could happen?" *Why we can no longer win "The smartness arms race" by producing great content, and why "sensemaking" is the way forward. *How companies need to put their insight into context for the customer in order to help them make better decisions.
