I am beyond excited for the latest edition of the Microsoft Advertising and Microsoft AI playbook! Yes, it's actionable and offers a transparent view into how to win in the agentic web. It also features some of the most brilliant minds of the AI era: Britney Muller Myriam Jessier Crystal Carter Lily Ray Aleyda Solís Michael King Pedro Bojikian We also unveiled the Bing Webmaster AI report, giving transparency and clarity into how content is being used, when it's coming up, and more! These both might feel like "SEO/AEO" updates - there is goodness in here for us paid media folks too! Here are my main takeaways: 🎯 Budget focus: you might have conflicting priority campaigns losing impression share/share of voice. With the insights from the AI report, you now can get additional clarity on which parts of your business are doing a great job being found, and which might need more help. While impression share lost to budget should never be ignored, it can be contextualized in relation to how well you're being found in AI. 🧐 Landing page insights: using the AI playbook as a starting point, you can audit your landing pages for their probability to succeed. With the AI report, you can get conclusive insights on which landing page formulas are working well and expand beyond that. P.S. walls of text are officially last decade...using them at a time when most people prefer short form video, quick answers, or other abbreviated content is asking customers to go to your competitors. 🗣️ Communication style matters: different people process information in different ways and AI is uniquely positioned to adapt to learning styles much faster than a static website. However, that information is still sourced by feeds, websites, and other signals. Make sure that you're leaning into accessibility so humans have an easy time engaging with you, as well as ensuring LLMs have an easier time understanding who you are and what you offer. He knew that an AI playbook without experts bringing insights from the field would lack the context needed to be useful.
