Ho Ho Ho! Merry Script-mas! 🎄 Yes, we just published a new Google Ads script. It scans your web display placements (GDN) to make a list prioritized for possible exclusion. Google brags that GDN includes over 2 million websites, but at some point that asset has become a liability, with ads serving across countless poor-quality websites. This can affect brand safety, performance – or often both. To help out, we compiled research from spamhaus, ICANN, and other authoritative sources to create a watchlist of 125+ top-level domains (for example .xyz, .zip, .vip) with elevated abuse patterns. This list gets referenced against your web placements from the Content Suitability report, as well as country-code TLDs that diverge from your location targeting, which could be a low relevance signal. The data is then available in pre-sorted tables and visualized, including a recent history of watchlisted placements in your ad account. We also include your current exclusions for reference. Because we use the Content Suitability report, this works not only for PMax but also for any campaigns generating display impressions (Demand Gen, Search campaigns with GDN opt-in, etc).
